SafeParent

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 18, 2026

1. Introduction

SafeParent (“SafeParent”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides parental-control features for Android devices. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, disclosed, retained, and protected when you use the SafeParent website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We May Collect

The information collected depends on the features you use and the choices you make in the app. We aim to collect only information that is needed to provide, secure, and improve the Service.

Account and contact information

  • Account identifiers and sign-in information.
  • Contact details you provide when contacting us or using the Service.
  • Family, child-device, pairing, and subscription-related information needed to operate your account.

Device and app information

  • Device identifiers, device model, Android version, app version, and technical diagnostics.
  • Information about installed or managed applications when you enable app-management features.
  • Screen-time and application-usage information needed to provide usage limits and reports.

Location information

If you enable location features, SafeParent may process the child device’s location, location history, and geofence events to provide live location, history, and arrival/departure alerts. Location collection is feature-based and should be enabled only when appropriate for your family.

Web-filtering information

When web filtering is enabled, the child device may use a local VPN mechanism to enforce the filtering rules configured by the parent. The purpose of this feature is to apply filtering on the device; it is not intended to provide SafeParent with the contents of private communications.

Emergency contacts

If you configure emergency contacts, SafeParent may store the contact information you enter so that those numbers can remain available for the emergency-call feature.

Messages and support information

If you contact us, we may receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your name, email address, device details, and support request.

Subscription and payment information

Paid subscriptions are processed through Google Play. We do not need your full payment-card details to provide the subscription service. Google may process payment and subscription information under its own terms and privacy policies.

Website technical information

Our website may receive basic technical information necessary to deliver and secure the site. To show prices in the right currency, the website asks our own server which country your IP address is in. The server looks this up in a local copy of the DB-IP country database; your IP address is not sent to a third party for this, and the result is not stored. Until the answer arrives, or if it is unavailable, the site uses your browser's time zone and language settings.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain SafeParent features.
  • Pair parent and child devices and synchronize configured rules.
  • Provide screen-time, app-management, location, geofence, and alert features you enable.
  • Process subscriptions and provide customer support.
  • Diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and improve reliability and security.
  • Communicate with you about your account, service requests, or important service changes.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Location and Child-Device Data

Parental-control data can be sensitive. Please enable location, app-usage, and other monitoring features only where you have the appropriate authority and consent required by applicable law.

SafeParent is designed to let a parent manage a child device. Parents are responsible for using the Service lawfully, explaining monitoring practices where required, and configuring only the features appropriate for their family.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information for money. We may share information only as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, including with service providers that help us host infrastructure, deliver notifications, process subscriptions, provide technical services, or protect the Service.

We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of SafeParent, our users, or others.

6. Third-Party Services

SafeParent may rely on third-party services for functions such as application distribution, subscription billing, infrastructure, notifications, maps, or technical operations. Those providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.

The SafeParent website currently links to Google Play for app distribution and subscription. Your use of Google Play is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and privacy practices.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, so please use strong account credentials and keep your devices and software up to date.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain account and subscription records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods can vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. You may also be able to disable optional permissions through your Android device settings or SafeParent settings, although doing so can prevent related features from working.

To make a privacy request, contact us at contact@safeparent.app. We may need to verify the request before taking action.

10. Children’s Privacy

SafeParent is a parental-control service intended to be used by parents or guardians to manage child devices. We do not intend to use the Service to independently solicit children for their own accounts or for targeted advertising. Parents and guardians are responsible for using the Service in accordance with applicable age, consent, and privacy requirements.

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The marketing website is designed to function without requiring advertising cookies. Third-party resources used by the website, such as web fonts or external services, may process technical information such as IP address as part of delivering those resources. We use Google Analytics on the marketing website to understand how visitors use it (for example, pages viewed and approximate location). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers; it is not used inside the SafeParent app. You can opt out using Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We may update the website’s technologies over time, and this policy will be updated when material changes are made.

12. International Processing

Depending on the infrastructure and service providers used to operate SafeParent, information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the Service or website. Your continued use of the Service after an updated policy becomes effective means the updated policy applies to your use of the Service.

14. Contact Us
